私は、1994年に、自分のホームページを立ち上げました。
I started my own website in 1994.
当時は、HP作成用のプラットフォームなどありませんでしたので、全てをhtmlで記述していました。
At that time, there was no platform for HP creation, so I wrote everything in HTML.
そして、今なお、ベタベタに、テキストファイルで編集を続けています。
And still, I continue editing with a sticky text file.
他の人と共同作業することもありませんので、特に問題にはなりませんでした。
There is no problem because I have not worked with other people.

ところが、今回、緊急に、町内会のホームページ(HP)をリニューアルする必要が発生し、私は、この連休のほとんどの時間を、その作業に費やしました。
However, this time, urgently, it became necessary to renew the homepage of the neighborhood association, and I had to spend most of these consecutive holidays on that work.
問題となったのは
The problem was that I had to make HP that
●「誰でも簡単に投稿」できて
"Anyone can easily post."
●「誰でも運用」できる
"Anyone can easily manage."
HPを作らなければならない、ということでした。
―― パソコンを日常的に使わない人も含めて
"Including those who do not use personal computers daily."

現在、私は、町内会の広報部部長ですが、来年4月で任期を終えます。
I am currently the general affairs department head of the neighborhood association, and I will finish my term in April next year.
私の任期後も、HPの運営は続けていかなければなりません。
However, even after the term, the HP management must continue.
HPの運用を、特定の個人に任せ続けると、その人の退任後にエラいことになります。
If you continue to delegate HP's operation to a specific individual, it will be trouble after that person retires.
―― そして、現実に、エラいことになったのです。
And, in reality, we got in trouble.
