本土を戦場にしなかったという点において"80年間"は事実かもしれませんが、我が国は、海外の戦争への加担は、ガッツリ加担してきました。
It may be true that for “80 years” the homeland itself has not become a battlefield, but our country has been deeply—indeed heavily—involved in wars abroad.

So, from the perspective of “avoiding a situation in which Japan’s territory becomes a battlefield,” what does peace mean to me? My personal KPI (Key Performance Index) is clear.

“Not witnessing Japan’s territory become a battlefield during my lifetime.”

That is all.
逆に言えば、「私が死んだ後のことなど知ったことではない」ということです。
Conversely, it means, “What happens after I die is none of my concern.”
非道で乱暴、露悪的にも見える発言ですが、私は「恒久平和」という、(1)定義が曖昧な“平和”と、(2)時間の概念を無視した“恒久”では、具体的な『勝利条件としての平和KPI』にならないと考えています。
This may seem cruel, crude, even provocatively cynical, but I believe that “perpetual peace,” with (1) “peace” undefined and (2) “perpetual” oblivious to time, cannot serve as a concrete “peace KPI as a victory condition.”
100年後の平和を論じるよりも、自分の生存期間に限定し、自分が生き残るためだけの冷徹で計算高い、非人道的な思考に基づく「戦争状況からの回避」を真剣に考えるほうが、よほど現実的だと思っています。
Rather than debating peace a century from now, I find it far more realistic to focus strictly on my lifespan and seriously pursue “avoidance of wartime conditions” based on a cold, calculating—yes, inhumane—logic aimed solely at survival.
そして、この『勝利条件としての個人的な平和KPI』を多くの人が持ち、この露悪的な考え方を忌避せずに次世代へと引き継ぐことができれば、その「平和」の「期間」を「延長」できる可能性があると考えています。
If many people adopt this “personal peace KPI as a victory condition” and pass on this unvarnished way of thinking without flinching, I believe there is a chance we can “extend” the “duration” of peace.

戦後80年にあたり、私が申し上げたいことは結局ここに集約されます。
On the 80th year since the war, what I wish to say ultimately boils down to this:
「人のことはほっとけ。自分のことだけやっとけ」
“Mind your own business. Take care of your own.”
