本日18:00ごろ、鎖骨骨折をしました。
Around 6:00 p.m. today, I fractured my collarbone.
原因は、合気道の体験で受け身によるものです。
The cause was a fall during an Aikido trial session while practicing ukemi (breakfall).
救急病院にて診断を受け、現在はギブス固定をして、鎮痛剤で対応しています。
I was examined at an emergency hospital, and my arm is now in a cast while I manage the pain with analgesics.
現在、右腕が動かせない状態ですが(動かすと激痛が発生)、腕の固定している範囲でキーボードの操作は可能なようです(今後悪化していく可能性があります)。
At present, I cannot move my right arm (as it causes severe pain), but it seems I can still use the keyboard within the limited range of motion allowed by the fixation (though the condition may worsen).
現時点での手術の可能性は五分五分だそうです(自然治癒の可能性もあるようです)で、火曜日午前中の再来院を命じられております。
As of now, the likelihood of requiring surgery is said to be fifty-fifty (there is also a chance of natural healing), and I have been instructed to return to the hospital on Tuesday morning.
以上の状況より、火曜日午前は通院の為、午前年休とさせて下さい。
Given these circumstances, I would like to take a half-day leave on Tuesday morning for the hospital visit.

My heartfelt gratitude goes to Loxonin (painkiller), Celsin (tranquilizer), the corset, and most of all, my wife who accompanied me all the way to the hospital.
昨夜、ぶつ切り時間とは言え、睡眠できたことに驚き、かつ、本当に感謝しています。
I was genuinely grateful and surprised that, despite the interrupted hours, I was actually able to sleep last night.

40年前の合気道の経験が、今の体が"まだ覚えて"いて、かつ、今の体がその"40年の期間を配慮してくれなかった"こと ーー これが今回の事故の原因だと、自己分析しています。
I analyze that the cause of this accident lies in the fact that my body still remembered my Aikido experience from forty years ago, yet failed to take into account the forty years that have passed since then.
