題目はどうあれ、私の言いたいことは一つでした。
Regardless of the title, I had only one message I wanted to convey.
―― 「今だに『偏差値至上主義』とか言う言葉を"批判"の用語として使っている奴 = バカ」
— “Anyone who still uses the phrase ‘hensachi-supremacism’ → idiot.”
の一言に尽きます。

私、ヨビヨリさん（とお呼びすればいいのかな）のフリップネタの YouTube が大好きなのですが、この YouTube には“感嘆”というか、いさぎよく“完敗”という感じを受けました。
I love the YouTube flip-chart videos by Yobiyori-san (if I may call them that), but this particular video left me in awe — or, more accurately, it felt like a clean, total defeat.
特に、分散と偏差値に関する事例が、秀逸すぎる。
The example they used to explain variance and deviation values was simply brilliant.
なるほど、こういう風に説明すれば良かったんだ――と、感動しました。
I was moved, thinking, “Ah, this is how I should have explained it.”
私も以前から、M-1 グランプリ（とかの得点の付け方）は正しく芸人の芸を評価していないとは思っていました。
I have long felt that the scoring methods used in the M-1 Grand Prix and similar contests do not adequately evaluate the performers’ craft.
しかし、こういう事例で説明すれば、「偏差値という道具の公平性」が、よりよく分かってもらえただろうと思うと、自分の工夫が「まだまだダメだな」と反省する機会となりました。
Seeing this example made me realize that if I had explained things this way, people would have understood the fairness of the deviation-value tool much better — and I found myself reflecting, thinking, “I still have a lot to learn.”
というか、M-1 グランプリの得点の正しい計算――これ、私たちでもできますね、すごく簡単に。
Actually, recalculating the correct M-1 scores — we can do that ourselves, and it’s surprisingly easy.
今度、自分でやってみようかと思います。
I’m thinking of trying it myself sometime.
それで、優勝者が入れ替わったりしたら、「かなり、いい感じの騒ぎ」になるに違いない、と思います。
And if the winner changes as a result, it would probably cause a “pretty entertaining stir,” I imagine.

で、今だに『偏差値至上主義』とかいう言葉を"批判"で使っている人間が少しでも減るなら、多分、世の中には良いことだと思います。
If this helps reduce, even a little, the number of people who still use the term “hensachi-supremacism” as a form of criticism, I believe that would be a good thing for society.
