私は、会議をオフライン(現地)で開催する意義はあるとは思っています。
I do believe that it is worthwhile to hold meetings offline (locally).
もちろん、人と人が直接会話をし、質疑応答を行うプロセスは、リモートよりオフラインの方が効率は良いのは、検証するまでもなく、明らかだと思います。
Of course, without needing to be verified, it is clear that direct human-to-human conversations and question-and-answer sessions are more efficient offline than remotely.
ただ、「面倒くさい」です。

■会場のセッテイングに胃を痛めることがなくて、
- No more stomach aches about setting up a venue,
■知り合いに挨拶するが必要がなくて、
- No need to say hello to people I know,
■飛行機の遅延による最終電車の心配をする必要がなくて、
- No need to worry about the last train due to flight delays,
■疲れ果てて帰ってきて数日間パフォーマンスが発揮できない、ということもない ――
- No coming home exhausted and unable to perform for a few days.

現地で旅行ができる、と言われますが ―― 私は、出張中は、原則として仕事のことしか考えていません。
They can travel locally, they say -- as a rule, I only think about work when I am on business trips.
発表が終わった日に、ちょっとホッとする程度です。
It is only a bit of a relief on the day the presentation is over.

For ‘wrong people’ like me, business travel is hard work.
