「AIを使って反省文を2分で提出してきた新入社員」の話を聞きました。
I heard a story about a new employee who submitted a written apology generated by AI in just 2 minutes.
この話を聞いて、私が思ったのは『こいつ、“運用”がバカすぎる』という以外には、特に感慨はありませんでした。
When I heard this story, the only thing that came to mind was, “This guy is unbelievably stupid at operations,” and beyond that, I felt nothing in particular.
「そりゃ、そうするだろう」と思ったからです。
Because, frankly, “of course he would do that.”
『2分で提出するというバカさ加減』はさておき、これは今後の世界の有り様を示す一つのユースケースにはなっていると思います。
Putting aside the sheer stupidity of submitting it in two minutes, I do think this serves as a concrete use case that hints at how the world will look from now on.
反省文、所感文、自己評価シート、大学の期末レポート。
Written apologies, reflection essays, self-evaluation sheets, and university term papers.

Until now, these have been treated as “devices for making people think,” but in reality, they are nothing more than the following.
(1) 感想文は、反省の有無や深さを計測できない、できそこないの手続、
(1) flawed procedures incapable of measuring whether reflection actually occurred, or how deep it was;
(2) 所感文は、所感に対する自分の思いの真偽や内省の実在性とは無関係な「それっぽさ」、
(2) a sense of “sounding right” that has nothing to do with the truth of one’s feelings or the actual existence of introspection;
(3) 自己評価シートは、自己評価は謙虚と自己主張のバランス計算結果、
(3) self-evaluations reduced to calculating the optimal balance between humility and self-assertion;
(4) 大学の期末レポートは、友人のコピーを適度なランダムで誤魔かす技の向上
(4) and university term papers that are little more than techniques for disguising copied work from friends with a suitable amount of randomness.

That is all they ever amounted to.
実態は、「それらが提出されたことをもって、事後的に、形式的に、そして性善説的に」、反省、所感、自己評価、レポート作成が行われてきたとみなすための「道具」でした。
In practice, they were merely “tools” for retroactively, formally, and under the assumption of human goodness, deeming that reflection, personal insight, self-evaluation, or report writing had taken place simply because something was submitted.
生成AIが出てきて困っているのは、この「道具」の機能の中身が明らかになってしまった、という事実です。
What has people troubled about generative AI is the fact that it has exposed what these “tools” actually do.
双方が「“行った”ふり」「“行った”と信じる"ふり"」で成り立ってきた、“ふり”の“制度”の実体が明らかにされ、制度の中身がスカスカだったことを、生成AIが白日の下に晒してしまった、ということです。
In other words, the true nature of a “pretend” system—sustained by people “pretending to do it” and “pretending to believe it was done”—has been laid bare. In short, generative AI has dragged into the open the fact that these systems were hollow on the inside.

では、次の世界はどうなるか、と考えてみました。
So I began to wonder what the next world would look like.
ここで社会は「AI禁止」という、いかにも思考停止な方向には進まないでしょう。もう私たちは、戻れないところまで来ています。生成AIを手放せと言われたら、かなり高い確率で暴動となり、下手をすると国家を倒す革命になるでしょう。
Society is unlikely to move in the brain-dead direction of “banning AI.” We have already gone too far to turn back. If people were told to give up generative AI, there is a high chance it would lead to riots—and in the worst case, revolutions that could topple states.
なんだか最近、イスラム革命のさらなる革命――「イスラム反革命」――のような動きが起こっているようですので、これは十分にあり得ると思います。
Given the recent emergence of movements resembling a further revolution against the Islamic Revolution—a kind of “Islamic counter-revolution”—this scenario does not seem far-fetched.

代わりに現れるのは、「AIを使えない空間」をわざわざ設けるという、倒錯した進化です。
What will emerge instead is a perverse form of evolution: deliberately creating spaces where AI cannot be used.
私はこれを、半導体工場のクリーンルームに喩えて、「AIクリーンルーム」と称することにします。
I liken this to a semiconductor cleanroom and will call it an “AI cleanroom.”
普段の反省文、稟議書、週報、評価コメントはAI前提でよいのですが、しかし、本気で人を叱る、本気で育てる、本気で判断する場面では、もはや、上記のような「中身がスカスカな制度」は使えないでしょう。
For everyday apologies, approval documents, weekly reports, and evaluation comments, AI can be assumed—but when it comes to genuinely reprimanding someone, genuinely nurturing them, or genuinely making judgments, such hollow systems will no longer suffice.
「AIクリーンルーム」は、スマホのジャミング装置が設置され、当然AIは禁止、リモートなしの対面のみ、F2Fの面談のみとなる、超高コスト環境が用意されることになるでしょう。
An “AI cleanroom” would involve smartphone jamming devices, a complete ban on AI, no remote participation, and face-to-face interactions only—an extremely high-cost environment.
『「AIクリーンルーム」送り』は、それ自体が恐ろしい制度となり、さらに進めていくと、ハラスメントの究極形態となる可能性があります。
Being “sent to the AI cleanroom” would itself become a terrifying system, and if taken further, could turn into the ultimate form of harassment.
これは、ソ連や東ドイツのKGBやシュタージ、そして現在なお世界中の警察国家だけでなく、日本国内の権力機関でも行われている、いわゆる「不当尋問」を彷彿とさせる事態です。
This evokes the so-called “unjust interrogations” carried out not only by the KGB of the Soviet Union or the Stasi of East Germany, but also by police states around the world—and even by power structures within Japan today.

Generative AI giving birth to the ultimate harassment device—or system—and reviving inquisitorialism is, in its own way, an oddly ironic and fascinating world.

これは、生成AIで浮いたコストを、別のところで使い切るバカげた世界のようにも見えます。
At first glance, this may look like a foolish world that spends the savings from generative AI elsewhere.
ただ、冷静にコスト計算をしてみると、これまで人間が無償で引き受けてきた無意味労働が消えただけで、AIは仕事を奪ったのではなく、「やらなくてよかった仕事」を見える化しただけです。
But if we run the numbers calmly, all that has happened is the disappearance of meaningless labor that humans had long shouldered for free. AI did not take jobs; it merely made visible the work that never needed to be done.
私たちは長年、「考えているフリ」を安価に量産する社会に住んでいましたが、生成AIはそれを不可能にし、「本当に考えるなら高くつく」という現実を突きつけました。
For years, we lived in a society that mass-produced “the appearance of thinking” at low cost. Generative AI has made that impossible, forcing us to face the reality that honest thinking is expensive.

便利な道具を手に入れた結果、人間は以前より不便な場所へ戻されつつあります。
As a result of acquiring such a convenient tool, humans are being pushed back into less convenient places than before.
そして皮肉なことに、その不便さこそが、今後「人間が人間であることを証明する、唯一の高級装置」になるのかもしれないなぁ、などと考えています。
And, ironically, that very inconvenience may become the only premium device left to prove that humans are, in fact, human.
