最近、本屋やテレビで「日本が誇る○○技術」という言葉を聞きます。
Recently, I have often heard the phrase "Technology that Japan boasts to the world" in a bookstore and TV program.
凄い違和感と(ときおり嫌悪感も)感じます。
Whenever I hear the phrase, I have an incredible feeling of wrongness and disgust.

Previously, when I investigated school expressions in Japan, I calculated a ratio between the humanities and sciences departments.
ざっくり、7：3。
It's almost 7:3.
理系学部出身者が、全部、科学者やエンジニアになっている訳ではないことを考えると、さらに文系比率が高いことになりそうです。
The ratio of the humanities department might become high because not all of the students who graduated from the sciences department become scientists and engineers.
今、この日記を電車の中で書いているのですが、この車両に30人ほどいますので、理系の職業についている人は9人程度となる訳です。
I am writing this daily on a commuter train, and I can find almost 30 people in this cargo. So, there are only nine people who work in the science field.
